The New Face of Oshodi As Construction Continues – Photos

AutoReportNG was in Oshodi some weeks back for this assessment and we met a lady who was lost in between the road, she was so confused that she has to call her sister on phone for direction, according to her, “Aunty mi, e so funmi wipe Oshodi ti yato”, that is, Sister, you didn’t inform me that Oshodi has changed totally. For those who have been away from Lagos and think of passing through Oshodi, you may have to think again as Oshodi is wearing a new look.

We did an assessment tour on the construction of the terminals, the park and so many, definitely, Oshodi has really transformed. The work is being handled by Plant Projects, the company that did the Ikeja Bus Terminal that was commissioned by Pres. Buhari recently. Remember that the Lagos state government embarked on a total reconstruction of Oshodi, the place was known to accommodate sellers, street urchins among others.

The government in his statement said the plan to transform Oshodi was due to its proximity to the Muritala Muhammed Airport which serves as the road that leads to the state and it will be wrong if the road does not live up to expectation.

The Oshodi Transport Interchange is patterned after Victoria Terminus, London. On completion, the terminus will have facilities like a shopping mall, CCTV, waiting lobby for passengers, among others
