According to the co-ordinator of the Benue Flood Relief Initiative, The following activities were undertaken:

1. We sorted the relief materials (mostly cloths, shoes and bags) received from John A’hemba Tseayo Lagos; separating them into children, women and men categories. Then further divided into two for delivery to victims in Achusa and IDP Camp in Agan.

2. We then proceeded to the Agan Camp to survey the camp and do a needs assessment. We realized that the living condition of the victims in the Agan Camp is very precarious. Notably:

a. The victims sleep in uncompleted building.

b. No windows, no doors, no water, no electricity.

c. The victims drink from a small running water.

d. Some of the blocks are fully completed but under lock. The victims are not granted access to the completed buildings.

e. Food supply to the camp is very scarce.

f. Snakes and scorpions are killed in the camp daily, making it dangerous to inhabit.

g. The victims are in dire need of beddings (mats, mattresses, blankets, and mosquito nets), cooking utensils, water, food, torch lights, and cloths.

h. The Red Cross team arrived the camp to offer medical services but left because there was not a conducive place for them to undertake their tasks.

*Action Plan*
We still have foodstuff, stoves, charcoal, mattresses, mats, cloths, pots and nets (some donated by Sesor Empowerment Foundation). We shall procure additional foodstuff, nets and blankets, and torch lights to deliver to the camp later, today.

Attached are pictures and videos of interviews we conducted at the camp.
