A 20-man delegation of National Executives of the Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) led by its President, Chief B.C. Ezenenwu today Wednesday 24 May, 2017 visited the Director General of National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Mr. Jelani Aliyu, MFR, in Abuja.

Chief Ezenenwu said national leaders of NATA were at NADDC Headquarters to welcome Mr. Jelani Aliyu and to introduce the association to him.
NATA General Secretary, Mallam Musa Yahaya remarked that they were highly excited to welcome a global icon in the automotive industry with an expectation to tap from his wealth of experience with respect to capacity development.

Mallam Yahaya added that NATA members across the country had benefitted immensely from various programmes and activities of NADDC especially in the area of automotive mechatronics training.

Responding, Mr. Jelani Aliyu thanked his guests for their visit and commended them for their valued contributions not only to the automotive industry but to national development generally; adding, “Without the efficient performance of vehicles being used by millions of Nigerians on the road, the economy itself will ground to a halt.”

NADDC DG assured that he would work very closely with NATA because “Your contributions to the life of Nigerians, to the economy of the country and to the economy of the West Africa sub-region is immeasurable.”
Specifically, Mr. Jelani Aliyu said the Council would train NATA members on emerging technologies in the automotive industry with a view to enhancing their efficiency in the maintenance and repairs of new generation vehicles.
